CASCADA HOUSE
Located on a hilltop in Selong Belanak, Cascada House is a contemporary tropical private residence designed by Alejandro Borrego of Atelier Alejandro Borrego. Set within a 5,700 sqm site with a 350 sqm building area, the villa is carefully positioned to capture panoramic ocean views and the surrounding rice fields while responding naturally to the contours of the land. Currently under construction, the project explores a refined approach to tropical architecture in Indonesia through open living spaces, natural materials, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor environments.
Large openings, cross ventilation, and filtered daylight shape a calm and breathable atmosphere throughout the residence, allowing the tropical climate of Lombok to become part of the living experience itself. Layered volumes create privacy, shade, and spatial depth, while maintaining uninterrupted views toward the coastal landscape. Designed as a slower and more grounded retreat, Cascada House balances contemporary design, sustainability, and the distinct character of Lombok’s natural environment in a warm and timeless architectural expression.
