Th is is located an hour from Lombok Airport in Tampah Hills, a private estate for seaside luxury villas.
As we began this project, several land conditions were discovered, which are the orientation and the slope of contour. The contour is east facing while south is where the stunning ocean view is.
After careful study, we decided to design the villa using a simple geometry. We proceeded the design as a floating block with a simple roof. Therefore, by being cantilevered on one side, we managed to sit the villa gently on the land while facing the ocean.
To embrace the simplistic concept, we decided to use a minimal palette of colour. Cream-brownish coloured cement from the soil of the site was preferred to cover the house while also giving the villa a local touch and feel.
This 3-bedroom-villa sits 60 meters above sea level with an almost 270 degree panoramic tropical forest was designed to have the main living spaces completely open to allow cross air flow making it more sustainable.
